The Sunday Mail Suncorp Bridge to Brisbane would like to announce that Kids Helpline will be the major charity partner of The Sunday Mail Suncorp Bridge to Brisbane in 2012.

Kids Helpline is Australia’s only 24/7 private and confidential counselling service specifically for children and young people aged 5–25 years. Counselling is available over the phone, email or web. Each week, Kids Helpline answers more than 5,000 contacts about issues ranging from troubles at home or school to more serious issues of bullying, abuse, drug and alcohol use, homelessness, self-harm and suicidal thoughts.

The Sunday Mail Suncorp Bridge to Brisbane 2011 raised $251,999 for Legacy Queensland. Individual entrants using Everyday Hero raised a further $303,050 for charities, including an additional $51,999 for Legacy Queensland, bringing the total amount raised for charities in 2011 to more than $550,049
