What is the date of the event and what time does it start?
The Sunday Mail Suncorp Bridge to Bridge will be held on Sunday 7 September 2008. The 10km event starts at 6.30am for Sporting Wheelchair Athletes and 6.45am for all other 10km entrants. The 5km event starts at 9.30am.

How do I enter?
You can complete an online entry form before midnight on Friday 5 September 2008. Simply click here to login (or create a new user profile) and follow the prompts. You can also enter in person at the Race Office, 1/120 Fison Ave West, Eagle Farm during race office dates.

Mail entries have now closed.

Can I fax my entry form?
Faxed entries will not be accepted.

How much does it cost to enter?
10km - all Entrants $30 each (inc. GST).
5km - all Entrants $25 each (inc. GST).

How do I enter as a team?
Team entries are easy to create via the online entry form from Friday 13 June. The team captain must register and login then follow the link to the online team entry page. From here the team captain simply creates a team, and then invites each member to add themselves to the team online. Each team member will have their own username, password and members area.

Can some of my team members be entered in different zones?
Yes. As long all members of the team enter in the same distance, either the 5km or the 10km event (not a mixture of both distances).

Can some of my team members be entered in different races?
No. All team members must compete in the one distance, either the 10km or the 5km event.

What do I need to do after I have entered?
You will need to collect your Race Pack which includes a timing chip, race number and race guide. All race packs must be collected prior to race day. You can also collect your race pack from the Race Office from 26 August during opening hours.

Your Race Pack will include:

  • Race Bib (colour determined by your starting zone)
  • Timing Chip
  • Race Guide
  • Suncorp Shoe Laces
  • Bus Ticket (if pre-purchased)
  • Breakfast Catering Wristband (if pre-purchased)
    Please note: Yellow wristband = Bonanza Breakfast; Purple wristband = BBQ Breakfast

For participants who opted to have their Race Pack posted to them, the Race Packs are currently being mailed out. All individual pre-paid postage packs should be received by Monday 1 September. If you have registered for the event and haven’t received your pack by this date please contact the Race Office on 1300 55 55 77.

Can I pick up my Race Pack on race day (Sunday 7 September)?
No. You must pick up your Race Pack before race day.

How is the category placing determined?
The best five times from each team will be added together to become an aggregate time. Teams will be given placing in their individual team category (i.e. Male, Female or Mixed) as well as an overall team placing.

Can I enter more than one person on the entry form?
No. The entry forms are for individuals only.
Teams entering via mail must include all their entry forms together in the one envelope with each team member’s details entered on a separate entry form.

When will the Race Office be open?
The Race Office will be open from:
Tuesday 26 August – Wednesday 3 September, 8.00am – 4.00pm.
Thursday 4 – Friday 5 September, 8.00am - 7.00pm.
Saturday 6 September, 8.00am – 12.00pm.

I have a toddler, do they have to pay?
Infants who are pushed in prams or strollers do not have to register. Young children will enjoy a range of free activities at the finish venue for a special family day out.

Can I bring my stroller?
Strollers are permitted but entrants who bring an infant will be required to start at the rear of each race starts.

Can I ride my bike alongside my friend who is running?
No. For safety reasons bikes, roller-skates, roller-blade and scooters are prohibited on the course.

Are there any rules for young children?
Children who intend walking the 5km course must do so under the supervision of their parent or a guardian and should be entered and wearing a race number. It is the right of the organisers to remove any person without a race number from the course.

Where can I put my belongings while I'm participating in the event?
Gear trucks will be provided at the start venue. Secure your items in a sealed bag and attach the provided gear number that you received attached to your chest number. Please do not place valuable items in your bag.

Can my child enter the 10km event?
There is no age limit for the 10km event and we are aware that many families will want to walk the full course together as part of a special day out. It is up to the parent or guardian to decide if their child is capable of completing and enjoying the longer course.

Will there be a shuttle bus service from the finish area to the start area?
Competitors are encouraged to park near the 5km or 10km start line before the race and then catch the pre-paid bus ($3 per person) back to their car after the race. Pre-paid bus tickets are available via the entry form or from the Race Office before 1 September (unless sold out prior).

Is there a time limit for finishing The Sunday Mail Suncorp Bridge to Brisbane?
Yes. To be eligible for the random draw prize entrants must finish the event by 10.30am and be present at the random draw to claim the prize. For full prize terms and conditions click here.

How do I arrange a marquee and/or catering at the EKKA Showgrounds for my team or family?
There are corporate and individual catering packages available. Call 1300 55 55 77 to book your corporate catering. Please note that a limited number of opportunities are available and you must book before Sunday July 20 or until sold out. Packages are not refundable. Individuals can also pre-purchase catering via online entry.
